Fact Check: Blake Shelton Has NEVER Been On "The View" -- No Real Video Exists Never On Show

Does a video show something surprising that happened during Blake Shelton's appearance on "The View"? No, that's not true: Clickbait publishers on social media have put out many fake stories about clashes between Shelton and the hosts of "The View". Shelton has never been a guest on "The View", which means none of these stories are true.

One example of a made-up scenario appears in a video (archived here) published on YouTube on Aug. 16, 2025 by Talk Show Intel under the title "Whoopi Goldberg Kicks Blake Shelton Off "The View" After Heated Clash". The 25-minute video, which only features two still images and no action, begins with this narration:

What happens when a country music superstar walks into daytime television's most unpredictable hot seat and finds himself facing off against one of Hollywood's most formidable personalities? The answer is a television moment so explosive, unexpected, that it left audiences stunned and the entertainment world buzzing for weeks. This is the story of how Blake Shelton's appearance on "The View" turned into a verbal battleground that ended with Whoopi Goldberg doing something she had never done before in her years of hosting, physically removing a guest from the show.

The website epguides.com (archived here) has a listing of people who have been guests on "The View" since the show began in 1997 into the current season 29 -- Blake Shelton's name does not appear on the list.

A search on Facebook for the terms "Blake Shelton The View" (archived here) produced results with a variety of fake stories (pictured below). Some of the Facebook posts direct the viewer to "watch more below" with a link to a website, other posts point to videos on YouTube.

Here are some examples of clickbait taglines in the posts:

  • Blake Shelton ERUPTS On The View After Heated Confrontation With Joy Behar.
  • BLAKE SHELTON UNLEASHES $50 MILLION LEGAL INFERNO ON 'THE VIEW'
  • In just seven short words, Blake Shelton silenced the entire set of The View.

The Facebook page transparency report on nine of the pages which had published these posts showed their page managers based in Vietnam. In addition to Vietnam, some of these pages also listed page managers in India, Brazil, Nepal and the United States (examples here, here, and here).

Other fact checks

A similar claim was debunked by Snopes.com on Aug. 21, 2025, but in this case the fake story involved a clash between Shelton and George Stephanopoulos on the set of Good Morning America.
