Fact Check: Video Of Anti-ICE Protester Sentenced To Six Months In Jail And $10,000 Fine For Throwing Trash Can At Officer Is NOT Real AI Generated

Is a viral video of a purple-haired woman being sentenced to six months in jail and a $10,000 fine for attacking a law enforcement officer with a metal trash can during an anti-ICE protest real? No, that's not true: The original version of the video on TikTok included a disclaimer saying that the clip was AI-generated media. No media organizations reported the purported story.

The claim originated from a post (archived here) published on the Trial Time TV channel on TikTok on December 1, 2025. The caption read:

Anti ICE protestor sentenced to 6 months in jail for attacking an on duty officer #crime #police #courtroom #courtroomreactions

The voice purporting to represent the sentencing judge in the video continued:

You were part of an anti-ICE protest attack, attacking an on-duty officer with a metal trash can who's currently in the hospital. This court sends you to six months in jail with $10,000 in fines for the crime...

This is what the video thumbnail looked like on TikTok at the time of writing:

The AI disclaimer did not appear on other platforms where the video was shared, including this one on YouTube (archived here) shared by a channel using the same name as the TikTok version.

Even without the AI disclaimer, there are clues that the video is not real. For example, the U.S. flag is located in an unusual place in the courtroom. The flag is in the rear of the courtroom, not in front of the audience, behind or next to the judge's podium (archived here). Also, the sentencing judge's voice mispronounced "ICE" as "ai-se-e".

Searches across Yahoo News (archived here) and Google News showed no media reports about the case:
