Fact Check: Fake "Epstein File Secret Report 77/5000" Is AI-Generated Video -- Salacious Clickbait AI Generated

Was a "secret report" numbered 77/5000 released with the Epstein files, showing security camera footage of the now-dead pedophile financier walking with and kissing a girl? No, that's not true: This video is fake. There are two nearly identical versions of this AI-generated video. Both feature the same non-functioning timestamp, identical down to the second. In one version the girl character is brunette with glasses, and in the other she is blonde without glasses. It is AI-generated and did not come from the Department of Justice release of Epstein Files.

The fake video was posted (archived here) on Instagram on Feb. 22, 2026 by the account @epstein.insider. It is captioned:

"From high-profile associations to unanswered questions, the Jeffrey Epstein scandal remains one of the most disturbing examples of corruption and abuse of power in modern history."
"The world watched as the truth about Jeffrey Epstein unfolded, revealing how systems meant to protect the vulnerable can sometimes fail them."
"This isn't just a story about one man named Jeffrey Epstein -- it's about accountability, justice, and ensuring that exploitation never hides behind wealth and influence again."#epsteinfiles #breakingnews #explorepage #justiceforsidhumoosewala #justiceforgeorgefloyd

Lead Stories did a reverse image search with a still from this video using Google Lens. There were many copies of the video posted on social media but no copies had been shared by any real news outlets.

One video returned in the search was posted on Instagram on Feb. 18, 2026 by @epsteinfiles.69 (archived here). This video shows a nearly identical scene of two men escorting a girl along a poolside patio (compared below left). In the first case the girl character is brunette with glasses, in the next she is blonde. Although the fonts differ slightly, the times stamped in the upper left corners are identical, "2018-07-15 22:10:45 CAM 04". The timestamp seconds do not advance even though the clips are several seconds long. In both AI-generated videos there is a downward view of a staircase landing with the man making moves on the girl.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act (EFTA) requires that the U.S. Department of Justice make the Epstein files public. At this time over 3 million files have been released. They are not referred to as a "secret report" and they are not numbered in a format such as "77/5000". The "Epstein Library" can be found at justice.gov/epstein. The numbering system looks like this example: EFTA01482103.pdf.

A search (archived here) of Google News for "Epstein File Secret Report 77/5000" produced no results.

The Instagram account @epstein.insider (archived here) has not even kept up with its own fake numbering system, and has published two different videos numbered "77/5000" (pictured below).
