Fact Check: Video Does NOT Show Angry People At Ben Gurion Airport Throwing Things At Staff Behind Counter, Demanding Tickets To Leave Israel Movie Theater

Does a video show angry people at Ben Gurion Airport throwing things at staff behind the counter in March 2026, demanding tickets to leave Israel? No, that's not true: The video shows a group of Israeli youth throwing objects at Arab employees at Jerusalem's Cinema City theater and chanting "Death to Arabs." It happened months earlier, in July 2025.

The claim appeared in a post and video (archived here) on X on March 11, 2026. It read:

Breaking ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿšจ:
Clashes now at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.

'We want tickets, we want flights, we want to leave Israel.
We will not stay until Iranian missiles crush us.'

Conflict in the Middle East

The United States and Israel launched an ongoing military operation against Iran on Feb. 28, 2026, that killed its supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in an airstrike on his compound in Tehran. Iran has responded with drone and missile strikes against the U.S. and allied targets across the Middle East, including Israel.

Original video

A reverse image search (archived here) on Google Images traced the video to a disturbance (archived here) at Jerusalem's Cinema City theater on July 20, 2025, in which Israeli youth chanted "Death to Arabs" and threw objects at the employees behind the concession counter. The original video (archived here) was posted on X on July 20, 2025. You can watch it here:

Airport disturbance

There was indeed a disturbance at Ben Gurion Airport on March 9, 2026. Police were called to the check-in counters to calm angry passengers who were shouting at airline staff. This happened a day after a small number of flights started leaving the Tel Aviv-area airport again during the war with Iran. This video (archived here) shows what happened:
