Fact Check: Video Does NOT Show Arrest of Woman Who Reportedly Called ICE on Men Fixing Her Roof Not A Tip

Does a video show the arrest of a woman who reportedly called Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on men fixing her roof? No, that's not true: There is no evidence that the woman's arrest at the beginning of the clip is connected to the detention of the men by ICE later in the video. An ICE spokesperson told Lead Stories that the men were not arrested as a result of a tip, but as part of a targeted enforcement operation.

The claim appeared in a video (archived here) by the shskz50 account on TikTok on March 29, 2026. It read:

The employer who assisted ICE in arresting her own workers has been arrested and faces felony charges.

Responding to questions about this video, an ICE spokesperson provided a statement in a March 30, 2026, email to Lead Stories. It said:

This was a targeted enforcement operation, not a tip from a caller. On March 23, ICE conducted targeted enforcement operations near Cambridge, Maryland, resulting in the arrest of six illegal aliens. Of those arrested, several have final orders of removal -- a felony -- and one has been previously convicted of illegal reentry. During the encounter, the aliens refused to comply with lawful orders, taunted officers and attempted to flee. The illegal aliens ultimately complied and were taken into custody.

An ICE final order of removal is a legally binding decision by an immigration judge or the Board of Immigration Appeals requiring a non-citizen to depart the United States. It is effectively a deportation order.

A reverse image search did not identify the original source of the footage, but a screenshot of the video clearly shows an Orlando, Florida, police officer's shoulder patch (circled in red), not from Cambridge, Maryland, where these particular ICE arrests took place:
