Fact Check: Video Does NOT Show A Real Wedding Day Incident When A Groom Slapped The Bride -- They Are Actors On Set Soap Opera

Does a video show a real wedding day conflict where a groom suddenly slapped his bride? No, that's not true: The people in this video clip are actors in a soap opera produced in Uzbekistan. The exact video clip published on X does not appear in the final production of the show "Iqror". But it shows the same set and the same actors performing the scene from a slightly different camera angle.

The video clip appeared in a post (archived here) published on April 6, 2026 by @mog_russEN on X. It opened:

🚨A groom slapped his bride on their wedding day... her mother stepped in and took her out of the ceremony immediately.

This scene does not show a real conflict at a wedding. These are actors in a soap opera produced in Uzbekistan. The soap opera is called "Iqror" or "Confession" and this wedding scene appeared in Episode 406. The full episode (archived here) was published on YouTube on Aug. 26, 2022. It was published by the verified YouTube channel of the Uzbek television station Milliy TV, which translates to "National TV". The moment the groom slaps the bride occurs at 2 minutes, 25 seconds (embedded below).

The final production posted on YouTube (pictured below left) contains several cuts and is not the same long take of footage appearing in the clip on X (below right). It was likely shot by another camera on the set or may be an unused take of the actors performing the scene. The elaborate bridal party table with yellow tulips does appear in the YouTube video, but does not appear at the moment of the slap.
