Does a video show burning tower buildings in Tel Aviv following Iranian strikes in April 2026? No, that's not true: The video shows a deadly fire in Hong Kong in November 2025. The footage is not related to the Middle East conflict.
The claim appeared in an April 1, 2026, post on X account @drhossamsamy65 (archived here). It opened:

Reuters published a video (archived here) of the fire with the headline, "Several dead as fire engulfs residential high-rises in Hong Kong," on Nov. 26, 2025. The caption for the video said:
At least four people have died after a massive fire engulfed multiple high-rise towers of a residential complex in Hong Kong's northern Tai Po district on Wednesday (November 26), with thick grey smoke billowing out as emergency services battled to subdue the blaze.

There have been many missile strikes in Tel Aviv in March and April 2026, but none have resulted in multiple towers burning. Lead Stories searched Google News (archived here) and Yahoo! News (archived here) and did not find any reports with video in Israel matching the footage posted on X.
