Fact Check: Fact Check: Fact Check: Video Showing A Judge Dancing On Her Desk Is NOT Real -- It's A Comedy Sketch It's A Skit

Does a video showing a judge dancing on a desk show an authentic judge in a courtroom? No, that's not true: The video was created by comedian Ebony Merkerson and is a staged skit. She is a recurring actress from other viral rage-bait clips that do not show authentic courtroom footage. Signs of the skit are she is dancing on a desk and not a judge's bench and a generic courtroom seal that does not depict any actual jurisdiction.

The claim appeared in a video posted on April 23, 2026, on X account @alphafox (archived here) which opened:

Something really needs to be done about these activist judges!! 😂

This is what the post looked like on X at the time of writing:

A Google search using a screenshot from the video matched one posted by comedian Merkerson on her YouTube account @EbonysWorldofDrama on April 23, 2026. Her bio reads, "Welcome to Ebony's World of Drama! I film and star in scripted dramas. Subscribe and Enjoy!" Here is a screenshot of the search:

The caption on the video posted on YouTube identifies it as a skit:

Signs that the courtroom is not authentic include the judge dancing on a desk and not a judge's bench and a seal that reads 'The United States of America' rather than identifying a specific jurisdiction.

Merkerson has posted other short comedy sketch videos purporting to be a judge on her YouTube page. Lead Stories previously debunked other videos starring Merkerson here. Many of her videos use sets that look like those on Network Media's website (archived here), which provides content to producers who publish similar scripted scenes.

Lead Stories has debunked multiple videos that show controversial situations on fake airplanes, involving fake law enforcement and in fake courtrooms here.
