Fact Check: Video Of Alleged Hitler Lookalike Is NOT Real Footage Of Person At Soccer Match In Argentina AI Video

Does a viral clip show a real Hitler lookalike at a soccer match in Argentina? No, that's not true: The video showed characteristic AI generation artifacts. An online AI detector concluded the video had a 94% probability of being AI-generated.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) published on X by @MyLordBebo on May 21, 2026. It opened:

Bro just shaved his mustache and thinks nobody will recognize him?

This is what a thumbnail from the attached video looked like on X at the time of writing:

The top corner showed a banner with the names of the teams, abbreviated as "Riv" and "Boc". These abbreviations refer to "Club Atlético River Plate" (archived here) and "Club Atlético Boca Juniors" (archived here), two major Argentine soccer clubs.

The timer adjacent to the teams' names, however, displayed a glitch that strongly pointed to AI:

Below the clock, a man in the background appeared to have only three fingers on one hand:

According to the InVID verification plugin, the probability of the video being AI-generated was 94%:
