Fact Check: Blackout Scene ADDED To Later Copies Of Video Of Kilt-Wearing Electrician AI Edit

Does a confrontation video of a kilt-wearing electrician who threatened to "shut this whole m-----f----- down" really show the power went out after he stormed off? No, that's not true: An early copy of the video uploaded to TikTok on May 27, 2026, shows the man making the threat and leaving, but it does not show the power going out. The AI-generated blackout portion of the now-viral video was added later.

The altered 32-second video appeared in a post (archived here) published on X by @whitedudesws on May 31, 2026. It was captioned:

An obese black woman tries to call a White man a meth head and then learns he's the God of Lightning. 😂

'Meth head? N*gga, I'm a electrician, I'll go out there and shut this whole motherf*cker down.

Black woman: I bet you won't.

Watch what he does!

An earlier 25-second edition of this video was uploaded to TikTok by @original_ghettogaragetv on May 27, 2026 (archived here). The channel features confrontations caught on camera; the scene of the kilt-wearing man is typical of the channel's content. This copy of the video cuts off right after the person filming says, "I got it on tape." The man in the kilt is seen through the windows leaving in the rain, and a man in a red shirt seated at the counter is holding what appears to be a black phone in his hands.

In the following composite images, the original TikTok video appears on the left and the AI-generated ending from the @whitedudesws video is on the right. In the altered video, after the person says, "I got it on tape." there is an AI glitch with the man in the red shirt. The black phone in his hands (pictured below left) morphs into some food that he raises to his mouth just before the lights go out. When the lights go out the people in the crowded restaurant become very still and quiet.

A second glitch happens in the rendering of the "lights out" moment--the AI failed to understand reflections. In the original video there are both can lights (in the ceiling, pictured above left) and hanging lamps inside the restaurant. The hanging lamps are reflected in the glass windows (pictured below left). In the AI-generated scene of the "lights out" moment, lights inside the restaurant go off, but the reflections of those lights do not turn off. They are rendered as if they are streetlamps outside.
