Does a new Epstein files release show Donald Trump visited Epstein Island 345 times? No, that's not true: The Department of Justice's Epstein Library -- the only publicly searchable database of Epstein files, last updated on Sept. 11, 2026 -- contains no record of Trump visiting Epstein Island hundreds of times. Lead Stories also found no credible news coverage of any such files.
The claim appeared in a post (archived here) by the @chachymonk1 account on Threads on Sept. 22, 2026. It read:

Not counting the times Epstein visited Maro-lago [sic]

Lead Stories conducted an X Advanced Search (archived here) to determine whether the phrases "New Epstein files" and "Trump visited Epstein's island 345 times with Jeffrey Epstein" appeared in a post on any account on the social media platform. Three posts matched, but one predated the @BreakingPoint 360 Instagram post.
A post (archived here) published by the @_MegaPolitics account on X on June 6, 2026, a day before the @BreakingPoint360 post on Instagram, may have been the inspiration for the image. The post read:

The @BreakingPoint360 post incorporated two images and wording very similar to the @_MegaPolitics post published the day before. The red arrow connects the Trump image used in both posts. The yellow arrow connects the Epstein image:

Lead Stories searched Google News (archived here) and Yahoo News (archived here) and found no matching reports about the claim from credible news outlets using the search terms: "Trump," "Epstein," "island," and "345."
The Epstein Library (archived here) on the Department of Justice website was last updated, at the time of publication, on Sept. 11, 2026. It is available for the public to search.
Lead Stories contacted the White House about the claim and received a response in a Sept. 24, 2026, email. A statement from White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis read:
As the President has said, he NEVER visited Epstein's Island. Just as President Trump has said, he's been totally exonerated on anything relating to Epstein. And by releasing thousands of pages of documents, cooperating with the House Oversight Committee's subpoena request, signing the Epstein Files Transparency Act, and calling for more investigations into Epstein's Democrat friends, President Trump has done more for Epstein's victims than anyone before him. Meanwhile, Democrats like Hakeem Jeffries and Stacey Plaskett have yet to explain why they were soliciting money and meetings from Epstein after he was a convicted sex offender.
