Did President Donald Trump help "an old woman" walk home after a rally in Iowa on Oct. 22, 2026? No, that's not true: There is no evidence that Trump left the rally location. Hive Moderation determined the image attached to the story was 99.9% likely to be AI-generated. The story was posted on an account known for satirical content.
The claim appeared in a post (archived here) made by the X account @HankDesmondPhD on Oct. 23, 2026. It read:
Yesterday, after his rally in Iowa, President Trump was heading to the airport when he saw an old woman walking home -- in the dark and all alone.
"Stop the car, Daquan!" He told his driver.
He got out and walked her 2 miles home.
No cameras. Just kindness.
That's Trump.

Trump never left the airport
There is no evidence that Trump made a stop on his way to an airport in Iowa during his Oct. 22, 2026, rally visit. Air Force One, the plane that carries the president to various destinations, landed at Sioux Gateway Airport on Oct. 22, 2026 (archived here). The rally took place at the airport (archived here). There were only eight minutes between the end of Trump's remarks at the rally (archived here) and his boarding of Air Force One (archived here) on Oct. 22, 2026. There is no evidence that Trump left the airport in a car, got out of the car, and walked an elderly woman home.

A reverse image search found that the picture used in the profile picture is a stock image (archived here). Additionally, there is no "University of Arkansas College," as the bio reads. The real, similarly named institution, the University of Arkansas, does not have a department of "Logic" (archived here). A search of the University of Arkansas' website for "Hank Desmond" did not return any results related to a faculty member of that institution (archived here). An advanced Google search of the website for "Hank Desmond" also did not provide any relevant results (archived here).
