Wolf Blitzer told viewers it was "so exciting to see Nancy Reagan" in the audience before CNN's GOP presidential debate at the Reagan Library, but a few minutes later the anchor apologized for mistaking another woman for the 94-year-old former first lady.
A camera zoomed onto an elderly woman wearing a green dress who was sitting in the audience. But it was not Reagan.
"We thought we saw Nancy Reagan here in the hall," Blitzer said. "We are now told that was not Nancy Reagan."
