Carly Fiorina stood near Donald Trump on the CNN GOP debate stage Wednesday night and made it clear she was not pleased with Trump's recent comment about her face being unelectable.
"I think the country heard very clearly what Mr. Trump said," Fiorina said.
The applause for Fiorina was loud and long, but Trump interrupted: "I think she's got a beautiful face and she's a beautiful woman!"
Fiorina remained expressionless in the wake of Trump's non-apology.
Jeb Bush later directly asked Trump to apologize for comments he made about his wife, who is a native of Mexico.
"I hear your wife is a lovely woman," Trump said to Bush, who was standing directly to his left.
"Why don't you apologize," Bush said. "She's right here."
Trump declined to apologize, saying "I did absolutely nothing wrong."
A later battle ensued between Trump and Fiorina when he accused her of being a bad executive when she ran Hewlett-Packard. "She can't run any of my companies," Trump said.
Fiorina called it "quiet rich that you would talk about this" considering how he "ran up mountains of debts, as well as losses, using other peoples money" and filed for bankruptcy protection "a record four times."
Trump insisted he never personally filed bankruptcy, but he did have casino companies that lost money because "Atlantic City is a disaster."
"I made over $10 billion," Trump boasted.
Trump and Bush argued earlier in the debate when Bush claimed that Trump contributed money to him when he was governor of Florida hoping it would lead to legalized gambling in the Sunshine State.
Trump said it was "totally false" and that he never tried to open a casino in Florida. "I promise if I had wanted it I would have gotten it... Don't make things up Jeb. Don't make things up!"
