The only woman in the Republican race for president is the apparent winner of the CNN GOP debate if social network attention is a good indicator. Carly Fiorina immediately jumped to the top of Lead Stories' Trendolizer social media attention chart in the first minutes after the 3-hour event ended Wednesday.
The system does not measure sentiment, but it does reflect the level of interest in each candidate by calculating likes, shares, views, tweets, posts, pins and comments on a range of social networks.
Fiorina commanded 16% of the total social media interest of all candidates, including the Democrats, late Wednesday. Donald Trump was just behind her at 15%. Democrats Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton were 3rd and 4th with 14% and 10% respectively.
Ben Carson was the 3rd ranking Republican at 9%, with Mike Huckabee next at 8%. Jeb Bush followed in 5th for the GOP with 7%.
Fiorina apparently made a strong impression by standing up to Trump at times.
