There's absolutely tragic news to report as former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland reportedly died Thursday night (Dec. 3) at the age of 48.

KNAC.com first reported that Weiland was found dead earlier this evening on his tour bus by his personal manager. No cause of death was immediately given. TMZ reported that the singer was discovered around 9PM. Weiland and his band the Wildabouts were set to play the Medina Ballroom in Bloomington, Minn., tonight, but the show was canceled.

The singer's wife Jamie confirmed Weiland's passing to the Los Angeles Times, sobbing as she stated, "I can't deal with this right now. It's true." Weiland's manager Tom Vitorino also confirmed to the paper that the singer had passed, but did not offer any further details.
