GOP-Produced Video Mocks Trump, But The Donald's Fans Love It

  • by: Alan Duke

A parody video featuring a mullet-wearing singer mocking Donald Trump and his supporters is so well done that many of his supporters apparently think it is a compliment to their candidate, according to some reviews.

The music video, titled "Making America Great Again," was paid for by the Public Integrity Alliance, a conservative Republican group in Arizona.

Lyrics sung by "Dwain," played by Phoenix comedian Brian Nissen, include a reference to Trump's apparent mocking of a disabled New York Times reporter. "I don't want to live in some New World Order, where you can't make fun of a crippled reporter."

Tyler Montague, the founder of the group that produced the video, told the Phoenix New Times that while it was aimed at intelligent, well-informed voters, he thinks some of Trump's supporters are so dumb they don't know they are being dissed.

"I've noticed that some of the Trump fans loved it," Montague told the newspaper. "They're like, `Yeah, this is everything Trump is about, this is dead on.' We're like, `You're kidding us, right?'"

Dwain, from Mullets Over America, sings the anthem "Make America Great Again" bout the general awesomeness of Donald J Trump.
