Ammon Bundy recorded a message of defiance from the Oregon jail where he is being held in solitary confinement for federal felonies related to his leadership of the take over of a federal wildlife refuge.
"Taking over the refuge was not only right, it was the duty of the people to do," Bundy said in the recording posted Thursday.
Buddy's group were protesting the imprisonment of members of the Hammond family related to a land dispute with the government.
The take over was "a needed action to show government officials that the people will not be complacent when they prosecute and bully good families like the Hammonds," Bundy said
His fellow protester Robert "LaVoy" Finicum was shot and killed by an Oregan State Police officer at the same time Bundy and five others were being arrested last month.

Bundy predicted there could be more bloodshed.
"Go home, Oregon State Police," Bundy said. "You have already killed enough. Go home, FBI. It is time to end this."
Four people remain holed up on a camp site in the refuge, refusing to surrender and possibly face their own federal charges.
