Yet another disgusting fake story is being passed through social media; this time claiming that an elderly woman has been using cat meat for her church potlucks for YEARS. The UNTRUE story was posted by known hoax website, Now8News, and has no validity whatsoever.

The story UNTRUE reads:

Members of the First United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma are trying to recover rom the shock they received when they found out that their potluck committee chairman had been training the church meals with cat meat. Janice Swinehart, 83, had been chariman of the potluck committee for the last 15 years. She had earned the trust of the church members and made dishes for hundreds of events which attendees called "delicious and unique."

The story also includes multiple pictures that unfortunately do come from true stories. However, the cat pictured in the above image was traced back to a 2012 video posted by youtuber redfluffykinsred, in which she acts as though a dead cat is in her freezer. While there is no definitive proof that this video was fake it was posted under the "humor" category and was probably just a prank to mess with animal lovers.

Ms. "Swinehart", the woman who allegedly used cat meat for church potlucks, is none other than Sandra Gregory, an elderly woman who was charged in the murder of her 94 year old mother back in 2011.

The above photo featured in the UNTRUE article, which shows over a hundred cats walking around a tiny home or apartment, was traced back to a 2007 story from website EnglishRussia, where a Russian woman was supposedly rescuing every stray cat she could find.

Lastly, there is a disturbing image within the fake story which depicts dead cats stuffed into a freezer. This photo is unfortunately real and was featured in an episode of Hoarders; a show that follows people with various types of mental illnesses that cause them to keep junk forever.

Again, News8Now is a hoax website that profits from the creation of purely ficticious articles designed to ruffle the feathers of whomever stumbles upon them.
