'Empire' Actress Gabourey Sidibe HAS NOT Suddenly Died

There is a trending hoax story saying that "Empire" Actress Gabourey Sidibe has suddenly died. This is not the first time Sidibe has died online and she is among many other celebrities when it comes to the death hoax. The poorly written story comes from a known satire and hoax site but people aren't always aware of this and continue to share the rubbish. UPDATE: The story appears to have originated here initially but was later copied by hoax website Daily Media Buzz where it really took off.

The NOT TRUE story states:

Empire actress died suddenly this afternoon from an apparent asthma attack. Gabourey Sidibe was introduced to the world for her role in the movie precious and was also known for her role as Becky on the hit tv show Empire. Sidibe was on set for another upcoming movie where she plays as a detective her role required her to run and chase a suspect during the scene Sidibe began to motion with her hands that she couldn't breath and than instantly collapsed. On set paramedics rushed to her aid and attempted to revive her but was unsuccessful and sidibe expired on the route to the hospital friends and family are devastated by this sudden loss.

The hoax story is a mean jab at Gabourey Sidibe's weight and health. Sidibe is alive and kicking, and she regularly posts on Twitter:
