Was Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's younger brother arrested on charges of sexual conduct with a minor? No, that's not true: The Montreal Police Department told Lead Stories they had "no file" on Alexandre Trudeau. The website that posted the story has a history of publishing false stories.
The claim appeared as an article by The Conservative Beaver on August 25, 2021, titled "Justin Trudeau's brother arrested on charges of sexual conduct with a minor - Conservative Beaver" (archived here), which opened:

The article claimed:
Alexandre Trudeau was booked into jail on Tuesday, Montreal police (SPMV) said in a statement shared with The Beaver. He is facing charges of sexual misconduct with a minor, 'among other charges including possession of child pornography and small quantity of crystal meth.'
The department said it received a report earlier this year of an incident that allegedly occurred in 2019. Detectives interviewed a juvenile victim and witnesses, and developed probable cause to arrest Trudeau.
The Montreal Police (Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal, or SPVM) told Lead Stories via email on August 27, 2021, that the claim was not true:
The SPVM has no file on the individual in question. It should also be noted that we have never been approached by The Conservative Beaver for this purpose.
