Fact Check: Video Presents NO Evidence Ivanka Trump Is Joining The Democrats To Run Against Her Dad Still With GOP

Does this video prove Ivanka Trump is joining the Democrats to run against her dad? No, that's not true: The video contents do not match the title. Also, there is no evidence the former first daughter is anything but politically loyal to her father, former President Donald Trump. She's even mentioned as a possible running mate should he make another bid for the GOP nomination and the White House.

The claim appeared in the title of a video (archived here) published to Facebook on December 8, 2021, under the title "Ivanka Trump is joining the Dem0crats to run aga!nst her Dad." It opens:

Ivanka Trump is joining the Dem0crats to run aga!nst her Dad

This is what the post looked like on Facebook on December 10, 2021:

The 10-minute video was published on the Robert News page of Facebook. And although the title for the video says "Ivanka Trump is joining the Dem0crats to run aga!nst her Dad," the audio track reports just the opposite. Just 20 seconds into the video, it says:

Is Ivanka really going to be Trump's 2024 running mate?

The video appears to be a bait-and-switch, seeking to build traffic with a provocative title. The video itself makes no mention of Ivanka Trump joining the Democratic Party to run against her father.

All political evidence has been to the contrary. On March 3, 2021, Bloomberg reported Donald Trump is "strongly considering" running again. A March 3, 2021, Intelligencer article speculated on whether the former president would keep it in the family when it comes to a running mate: "Will Trump Dump Pence If He Runs in 2024?" and so did a March 4, 2021, article in Vanity Fair: "OH, GOD, IS TRUMP GOING TO MAKE IVANKA HIS 2024 RUNNING MATE?"

A Google search, which draws on Google's index of more than 50,000 news sites, turns up no credible reports of an Ivanka Trump betrayal, which would be top news nationally, if not globally. Here are the search results for the terms "Ivanka join democrats oppose Trump".
