Fact Check: Navy Judge Advocate General Did NOT Hang Biden's Chief Science Officer Arati Prabhakar Fiction Site

Did the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps execute Arati Prabhakar by hanging on February 27, 2024, for committing treason? No, that's not true: Prabhakar, director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, has appeared at a public event following the purported execution date. Also, the website where this claim was made regularly publishes fabricated content.

The claim appeared in an article published by Real Raw News on February 29, 2024, titled "JAG Hangs Biden's Chief Science Officer for Treason" (archived here), which began:

The United States Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps on Tuesday executed former administration Chief Science Officer Arati Prabhakar, whom a panel of commissioned officers sentenced to death for treason last month, a GITMO source told Real Raw News.

Users on social media only saw this title, description and thumbnail:

JAG Hangs Biden's Chief Science Officer for Treason

The United States Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps on Tuesday executed former administration Chief Science Officer Arati Prabhakar, whom a panel of commissioned officers sentenced to death for treason last month, a GITMO source told Real Raw News.

As reported, Prabhakar's deranged and perhaps insane mind had dreamt the idea of poisoning potable water reservoirs with COVID-19 vaccines in a desperate bid to continually inoculate the population against imaginary, emerging strains of the alleged disease. Although JAG concluded her warped concept was both unfeasible and unachievable, they felt that Prabhakar's adherence to Deep State ideology and willingness to propose such an iniquitous plot were reason enough to hang her--even if she was criminally insane, which may have been the case.

In a January 19, 2024, fact check, Lead Stories debunked a Real Raw News claim that the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG) sentenced Prabhakar to death.

A March 4, 2024, American Institute of Physics (AIP) article reported that Prabhakar was expected to be a keynote speaker at the public National Nanotechnology Initiative 20th Anniversary of Authorizing Law event, which took place on March 5, 2024. This is one week following the date of Prabhakar's purported execution in the Real Raw News article .

A search (archived here) of Google News' index of thousands of reliable information sources, using the keywords "United States Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps" AND "Hangs" AND "executed" AND "Arati Prabhakar" AND "February 27, 2024" produced no results to substantiate this claim.

Lead Stories reached out to the Office of the Secretary of Defense and U.S. Navy for a response. This fact check will be updated if any responses are received.

Real Raw News has a long history of publishing false claims in mock news stories, many of them about convictions and executions of various public figures at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay in Cuba. For example, the site reported former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was hanged (she wasn't); former White House Chief of Staff John Podesta was executed (he wasn't); and "the military" convicted former Attorney General William Barr on charges of treason (it didn't).
