Fact Check: FAKE Photos Show Trump 'Shot Again Exiting the White House' in May 2025 Fabrication

Did authentic photos shared in May 2025 show President Donald Trump covered in blood after being "shot again while exiting the White House"? No, that's not true: We found no source or corroboration for the two images in question, which appear to have been created using AI. No news reports existed on the supposed shooting of Trump, which would have been the subject of immediate, intensive, worldwide news coverage.

The photos were presented as authentic in a May 15, 2025, blog post (archived here) with the headline:

Minutes Ago: President Donald Trump Shot AGAIN While Exiting the White House

This is what it looked like at the time of writing:

Those images were fake, and most likely the product of AI.

Firstly, Trump was not shot in May 2025. If he had been, such an event would have formed the basis of immediate, intensive, worldwide news coverage. A May 15, 2025, Google News search for the words "Trump shot" and "White House" yielded no relevant results.

Nor did he suffer a public nosebleed, as an alternative version of the rumor claimed.

The images also don't make logical sense. If Trump had been injured in some way that caused blood to be present on his face, medical professionals would have attended to and dressed that wound immediately, rather than allowing blood to continue streaming from his face even at the point where Trump is already at a hospital.

Furthermore, the bottom image appears to show Trump being restrained by the medical staff, which makes little sense for someone who is, supposedly, receiving treatment for a gunshot wound or nosebleed.
