Does an authentic video show U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. he's "declaring war on fat, gay kids, not the kids themselves but whatever is making them so fat, gay, and pathetic?" No, that's not true: A disclaimer saying the video is "a deepfake, quite obviously" appears in the last second of the 55-second clip. The video was posted on an X account that has previously shared videos that replaced President Trump's real words and lip movements with fake ones using AI technology.
The claim originated in a post (archived here) shared on X on May 14, 2025. It included an AI-generated video with the caption "RFK isn't allowed to declare war, is he? What a press conference...Unreal." The fake video in RFK Jr.'s voice said:
I'm declaring war on fat, gay kids, not the kids themselves but whatever is making them so fat, gay, and pathetic. I'm talking seed oils, SSRI, MSNBC, and perverts masquerading as teachers and guidance counselors. Sorry, but as an educator, you can't show off your extensive collection of marital aids anymore. OK? America isn't a dance school, a video game competition, or an Only Fans Academy. It's a country and with the help of President Trump we'll be focusing on eliminating the things in our society that are turning our kids into effeminate weirdos and skanks.

The X.com account that posted this video has a track record of using similar videos to earn millions of views on X, which can translate into cash. The poster does own up to the truth in the very last second of the video with a disclaimer that reads:

The original video used to create the deepfake was recorded in the White House Oval Office on May 12, 2025, when President Trump signed an executive order relating to drug prices. This video is cued up to the same point where the fake video began:
