Fact Check: Videogame Video Shows B2 Bomber Landing On Aircraft Carrier -- Not Real, Not Recent Videogame

Did a video really show a B2 bomber landing on the deck of an aircraft carrier? No, that's not true: The video, which went viral in the wake of the U.S. bombing Iranian nuclear plants with such planes in June 2025, appeared on a TikTok channel that publishes video game footage. It appeared there months before the strikes on Iran happened.

The video (archived here) was published earlier on a TikTok channel named "Digital Dogfight " where it was published on March 12, 2025 with a caption that read:

#nuclearoption #aviation #digitaldogfight #warthunder #dcs #digitalcombatsimulator #warthunderaviation

War Thunder is a simulation videogame featuring military hardware.

This is what the post looked like on TikTok at the time of writing:

The video explicitly contained a marking that said "Virtual screen is for entertainment purposes only".

However in June 2025 the video went viral again but with that marking removed, for example in this post on X (archived here), leading some people to believe it had something to do with the strikes on Iran that happened that month.
