Fact Check: President Trump DID Post Meme Of Him And VP Vance in Police Cars Chasing Barack Obama In A White Bronco Trump Posted

Did President Donald Trump post a meme of him and Vice President Vance in police cars chasing Barack Obama in a white Bronco on a freeway? Yes, that's true: The meme was created from a real photo of Los Angeles police chasing O.J. Simpson on a freeway on June 17, 1994. It was altered to include Obama's head in place of Simpson's, Trump's head replacing the driver of the police car directly behind the Bronco, and a caricature of Vance. The president's son Donald Trump Jr. posted the image four days earlier on his Instagram account.

The meme (archived here) appeared on President Trump's Truth Social account on Saturday, July 26, 2025, while Trump was vacationing in Scotland. It included no caption.

Users on social media only saw this title, description and thumbnail:

This is what the post looked like on Truth Social at the time of writing:

President Trump accused former President Obama of treason during an Oval Office event on July 22, 2025. Donald Trump Jr. posted the meme (archived here) that same day.

The original photo (archived here) was taken during the famous June 17, 1994, police chase of O.J. Simpson by Los Angeles Times photographer Al Schaben.
