Fact Check: Images Of Trump Eating Spaghetti During King Charles III's Speech Are NOT Real Shots From Windsor Castle State Banquet Edited Image

Did a real photo show Donald Trump slurping up a plate of spaghetti while King Charles III made a speech at a state banquet? No, that's not true: The picture of Trump with a mouthful of spaghetti has been digitally edited. At no time during the King's speech was Trump eating, and videos of the table show that there was no food on anyone's plate at that time.

The altered picture appeared in a post (archived here) published on X by @AdameMedia on Sept. 17, 2025. The post was captioned:

Incredible.

The image in the post (pictured below) looks to be a photo of a television or computer screen where a news clip about the banquet is playing. This lends the appearance of authenticity to the faked scene, but Trump was not eating spaghetti -- this image is edited.

In a Sept. 17, 2025 article about the banquet, the BBC published a translation of the menu which had been written in French. Spaghetti was not served.

Several press videos of the banquet speech are posted on YouTube. At no time during King Charles III's speech is Trump eating. One video (archived here) posted by Daily Express on Sept. 17, 2025 is pictured below. During the King's speech, at 58 seconds there is a cut to a wide-angle showing the lavish tablesettings -- at this time, there is no food on anyone's plate, including Trump's.
