Is the person known as "Richard Strocher" on X.com a commentator for Fox News and The Blaze? No, that's not true: A spokesperson for Fox News told Lead Stories that Richard Strocher is not associated with the channel and has not ever appeared on the network. The account features a fictional troll who posts far-right commentary and controversial messages about current events. The name Richard Strocher is a crude sexual pun.
The claim appeared in the bio section of the X.com account @RichardStrocher as of October 1, 2025 (archived here). The bio reads:
FOX News, The Blaze -- Host of The Richard Strocher Show on #Rumble - LIVE: Mon-Fri 9 PM ET -- Sommelier, Carpenter, and Research Junkie #BelieveStrocher
This is what the account looked like on X at the time of writing:

The Know Your Meme website (archived here) published a story in February 2024, noting that the Richard Strocher account on X appeared to be of a conservative troll after their tweets about claiming to have heard Jewish people under the floor of their NYC apartment went viral.
If Richard Strocher had either appeared on or was affiliated with Fox News or The Blaze, there would be public records of his time on the channel or mentions on the internet. Lead Stories searched Google (archived here) and found no legitimate news stories or attributions of him ever having appeared on Fox News. A Google search (archived here) did not find any legitimate news stories or articles from The Blaze attributed to Strocher.
Similarly, a search of the Yahoo! News index of partner news sites and news services (archived here) did not return any matching news stories about him either working for or appearing on Fox News. The account bio claims he is the host of The Richard Strocher Show (archived here) on the website Rumble. That account offers one 21-second promotion video, but no actual shows. The website 2deadfrog (archived here) is shown on the screen, which describes itself as "content tools and after effects templates for motion designers."
Lead Stories reached out to The Blaze for a comment and will update the story when one is received.
