Fact Check: Turning Point USA Did NOT Announce They're Doing Their Own Super Bowl Halftime Concert Org Says No

Did Charlie Kirk's organization Turning Point USA announce they're doing their own Super Bowl halftime concert to protest the official halftime concert featuring Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny? No, that's not true: The organization has made no announcement about hosting their own show during an alternate Super Bowl halftime show as of publication date. On October 1, 2025, Andrew Kolvet, the spokesperson for TPUSA, said on the Charlie Kirk show that they were not planning a Super Bowl halftime show. Jack Posobiec, the conservative commentator who first suggested it, said on October 6, 2025, that there were "no announcements" but there were conversations about it happening.

The claim appeared in an October 6,2025 post on the Facebook account @U.S.DemocraticSocialists (archived here). It read:

NEW: Turning Point USA announced they're doing their own concert for Super Bowl Halftime, using "fully Christian, American" performers. Now seems like a good time to remind them that Bad Bunny is both fully Christian and fully American.

This is what the post looked like on Facebook at the time of writing:

After the NFL announced that Bad Bunny would be the halftime show at the upcoming 2026 Super Bowl, there was backlash over his use of Spanish.

The rumor began after Jack Posobiec, a conservative commentator and contributor to Turning Point USA, posted on his X.com account @jackposobiec (archived here) on September 29, 2025, about the organization hosting their own alternative Super Bowl halftime show, writing, "Sure would be a shame if @TPUSA hosted a counter-Superbowl halftime show with Creed":

On the October 1, 2025, episode of the Charlie Kirk Show on Youtube (archived here) Andrew Kolvet addressed the rumor, saying that Posobiec tweeted that they should host their own Super Bowl halftime show as an alternative to Bad Bunny. At 7:36 in the video, Kolvet talks about how the rumor started and says he's been asked for comment by the media and wasn't planning a Super Bowl halftime show and then jokes that he is now considering planning one:

On October 6, 2025, Posobiec appeared on the Timcast podcast and said that there have been "no announcements" about an alternative Super Bowl halftime show but that there was now a lot of media attention about the possibility of the organization hosting their own concert and there have been "conversations," about doing so. This clip of him (archived here) appearing on the show was posted on the Timcast IRL YouTube account at 1:57:57:

As of October 7, 2025 there have been no announcements from Turning Point USA on either the X.com account @TPUSA or Facebook @TurningPointUSA about an alternative Super Bowl halftime show.

Had such an announcement been made, in the wake of Kirk's shooting death and controversy regarding Bad Bunny's Super Bowl performance, it would have been national and international news. A Google search (archived here) found no legitimate news stories that TPUSA had announced a concert. Similarly, the Yahoo! News index of partner news sites and news services (archived here) did not show any news reports about Turning Point USA making such an announcement.
