Fact Check: NO Evidence Donald Trump Dismissed A Secret Service Food Tester After Incident At Restaurant In Washington DC Satire Site

Did Donald Trump dismiss a longtime Secret Service food tester after JD Vance saw the agent sprinkle an unidentified spice on the President's meal when they were dining out in DC? No, that's not true: There is no evidence supporting this story. In his second term Donald Trump had only eaten out in DC on one occasion, on Sept. 9, 2025 and there has been no reporting about an incident matching these details, as of the date this was written.

The story appeared in a post (archived here) published on X by @RealRawNews1 on Nov. 4, 2025. It is captioned:

President Donald J. Trump has dismissed a longtime Secret Service food tester following an alarming incident at a high-end restaurant in the nation's capital. The drama unfolded when Vice President JD Vance allegedly spotted the agent surreptitiously sprinkling an unidentified spice onto the President's meal. Full story tommorrow.

No evidence this happened

There is no credible news reporting on this purported incident. Donald Trump ate out at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab in Washington D.C. on Sept. 9, 2025. CNN reported in an article (archived here) titled, "Trump dines out in DC for first time in his second term, asserting crime crackdown made city safe". The White House published a collection of photos (archived here) from the evening titled, "President Donald Trump has dinner with Cabinet members and White House staff at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab restaurant". JD Vance was present and seated across from Trump. At the time of writing, Nov. 5, 2025, Trump has not dined again at a "high-end restaurant" in Washington D.C.

A Google search for the phrase "Trump AND "Secret Service food tester"" (archived here) only produced results repeating what had been posted by Real Raw News. Another search using the terms, "Trump AND Fires AND food tester" (archived here) also produced no relevant results.

For example, the site reported former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was hanged (she wasn't); former White House Chief of Staff John Podesta was executed (he wasn't); and that "the military" convicted former Attorney General William Barr on charges of treason (it didn't).
