Fact Check: South Park Did NOT Do An Episode With Minnesota Governor Walz And The 'Quality Learing Center' -- AI-Generated Clip AI Generated

Did South Park do an episode featuring Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and the "Quality Learing Center"? No, that's not true: The original video clearly states it was "made with AI." South Park has not aired any episodes since news broke Dec. 26, 2025, about a Minnesota child care center with a misspelled sign.

The claim appeared in a January 6, 2026 video posted on X.com account @IDontCareBear (archived here). It opened with the caption:

South Park hasn't landed a punch this hard in years.

This is what the video looked like on X at the time of writing:

The video was originally posted on the Back Country Supply Co. YouTube channel (archived here) on Jan. 3, 2026, with the headline "South Park - Tim Walz (Fan Made AI Parody)." The caption read:

South Park needs to get back to their roots... This is a parody trailer for what could be a great episode,. Follow us for more comedy!

The chyron on the video said, "AI generated, but I wish this were a real episode."

According to IMDb (archived here), the most recent South Park episode, Season 28, Episode 5, titled "The Crap Out," aired Dec. 10, 2025, as of the publication date.

The misspelled sign on a Minnesota child care center appeared in a video posted Dec. 26, 2025, by conservative content creator Nick Shirley on his YouTube channel (archived here) titled "I Investigated Minnesota's Billion Dollar Fraud Scandal." The sign appears at the 16:38 mark in the video, as shown in this screenshot:
