Fact Check: Video Of Burning Fuel Tank Rolling Away After Explosion Is NOT From Iran -- It Shows A 2024 Gas Station Explosion In Chechnya Chechnya

Does a video featuring a burning fuel tank rolling away after an explosion show an event in Iran in June 2026? No, that's not true: The footage shows an explosion at a gas station in Chechnya, a republic within the Russian Federation, in October 2024, not Iran. The clip also appeared on a social media account labeled as a parody.

The claim appeared in a post and video (archived here) by the @IsraelArmyX account on X on June 11, 2026. It read:

🚨 Breaking News :

US ATTACKS IRAN

According to sources, massive explosions have rocked Iranian military bases following US airstrikes. Reports indicate that IRGC [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps] facilities have sustained heavy damage, and over 100 soldiers have been injured. Iran's security infrastructure is crumbling.
