Fact Check: Video Of Times Square Assault Does NOT Show Night After Knicks Win On June 10, 2026 Old Video

Does a viral video of a Times Square assault show the night after the June 10, 2026, Knicks win? No, that's not true: The video had been online before. It predates the game by nearly two years.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here and here) published on X by @wstgoat7 on June 10, 2026.

It hasn't even been 30 minutes since they won 😭😭😭😭.

This is what the attached video looked like on X at the time of writing:

The 35-second clip captured a man stomping on another man's head before law enforcement intervened.

Violence and vandalism broke out in Midtown Manhattan in the aftermath of the June 10, 2026, Knicks victory (archived here, when police arrested (archived here) at least 56 fans.

But the "It hasn't even been 30 minutes since they won" post used video that showed none of the 2026 incidents.

The head stomp video has been online at least since July 2024 (archived here) when it was published on X.
