A baby was born near Cairo, Egypt, with just one eye in the middle, a rare birth defect known as cyclopia, according to a Saudi Arabian newspaper.
The infant is not expected to survive, according to a doctor quoted by Echo newspaper. The mother and child were being treated at a private hospital in Egypt's Dakahlia Governorate, northeast of Cairo, according to the report. The governor of the region reportedly witnessed the birth, it said.
