Active Shooter: Five Shot, Two Dead, At Seattle Homeless Encampment

  • by: Lead Stories Staff

Five people were shot -- with two killed -- at a homeless encampment near Airport Way South and South Atlantic Street Tuesday night, according to a police source.

Multiple males apparently carried out the shooting with none in custody, the source said. Police were interviewing witnesses to confirm that as they searched for suspects, the source said.

The shooting happened around 7:15 p.m. Pacific Time at an area known as "The Jungle," the source said.
