Hillary Clinton makes history Tuesday night, June 7, 2016, effectively clinching the Democratic presidential nomination, a first for a woman. Clinton speaks to a victory rally in New York soon after New Jersey was declared in her column, but while votes were still being counted in California and four other states.

Clinton walks a fine line in her speech by not offending Bernie Sanders supporters, who are still holding out hope that California will be theirs.
