Chelsea J. Carter is Lead Stories' International Teams Manager and Senior Editor. She is an award-winning editor, reporter, and news producer.
She previously worked as a senior planning producer at CNN International, as well as a reporter and an editor at CNN Digital. Chelsea has worked as a senior planning producer, covering MENA, at TRT World. She also worked as a reporter at The Associated Press.
Chelsea has received several awards, though she is particularly proud of her role in CNN's coverage of the Arab Spring and the aftermath of the kidnapping of 200 schoolgirls by Boko Haram, which earned the network Peabody awards.
She has mentored journalism students from across the United States, Europe, and the Middle East and has lectured at journalism schools and conferences.
