Fake News: NO Ghost in Photo of Trump Speaking at United Nations

Was there a "ghost" visible in a photo of Donald Trump speaking at the United Nations on September 25, 2019 because there are some mysterious fingers on his sleeve? No, that's not true: the photo was digitally altered by a website known for publishing hoaxes.

The story originated from an article published by City News on September 30, 2019 titled "Ghost in Trump's photo sparks debate on social media - New York Latest News" (archived here) which opened:

Here is the digitally altered photo in question:

But one quick look at the original photo by Saul Loeb at Getty Images clearly shows the "fingers" have been digitally added later:

NewsGuard, a company that uses trained journalist to rank the reliability of websites, describes ab-tc.com as:

A site whose homepage is titled "City News" that has published hoaxes and fabricated crime stories.

According to NewsGuard the site does not maintain basic standards of accuracy and accountability. Read their full assessment here.
