Fact Check: Satirical Video Shows Bill Clinton Statement Anticipating Epstein Files Release -- Was Watermarked 'Meme/Satire' Satire Video

Did former President Bill Clinton put out a video in anticipation of the release of the "Epstein Client List" in which he said "I did not have sexual relations with those children on that island"? No, that's not true: The video bore a watermark that said "meme/satire" which was visible the entire length of the footage. It was orignally published by an account on X that says it posts "doctored videos" in its bio.

The video first appeared in a post on X (archived here) where it was published by an account named "drefanzor memes" on February 27, 2025. It had a caption that read:

Bill Clinton has released a statement after learning Pam Bondi is releasing the Epstein Client List™️ tomorrow:

This is an embedded version of the video:

The account in question (archived here) had a bio that said it posted "doctored videos".

The video had a watermark that said "meme/satire" visible in it the whole time:

Transcribed, the dialogue in the video went like this:

Bill Clinton: My fellow Americans, today you may be waiting for the highly anticipated Epstein client list to be released. So while I know you may see what appears to be my name on the list, I'd like to argue that I did not have sexual relations with those children on that island. Would it even count though? It wasn't in the United States. Also, if you add up their ages, I'm sure it was above 18. Jeff told me since it was outside of the jurisdic...

(power cuts out)

Hillary Clinton: What the hell are you doing?

Bill Clinton: Uh... No, Hillary, I'm not confessing.

Hillary Clinton: You idiot. Do I always have to clean up your mess?

Bill Clinton: What are you doing? What? No, wait. Please don't hurt the cameraman. He had nothing to do with this.

(thud and splat sound effects)

Bill Clinton: No, Hillary, that was my friend. He wasn't a witness.
