Does a police body cam video show an authentic incident in which an officer is demanding that a Black man in a business suit hand over his identification while shopping in a boutique store? No, that's not true: The video first appeared on a Facebook page that features actors in skits depicting confrontations between citizens and police. The same actors and the same scenes have been featured in multiple videos. The video timestamps do not use the same font as real body cam videos and they are also duplicated in various videos.
The claim originated in a video (archived here) posted on the Law Talk Facebook page on April 13, 2025. The caption read:
Cop asked man for ID trying to but his wife clothes get schooled!
This is what the post looked like on Facebook at the time of writing:

This is the original video:
The Axon Body 2 timestamp in the upper right corner does not use the same number font as authentic Axon Body 2 devices use. The zeroes in the fake timestamp do not have a slash through them:
This is what the numbers on an authentic Axon Body 2 video look like, as shown in the Axon.com page explaining how to read its timestamps:
This is another video on the same Facebook page using the same set:
This video also uses the same timestamp with the same device serial number (X81079338). If both were authentic, it would mean the same boutique shop was the scene of two very similar confrontations on the same afternoon.
