Fact Check: DJ Vlad 'Confession' Saying Jay-Z and Roc Nation Paid Judges, Jury, Witnesses, Police To Convict Tory Lanez In Megan Thee Stallion Shooting IS Satirical Trolling -- Read The Last Line Real Joke

Is a DJ Vlad 'confession' that Roc Nation bribed the judge, jury, witnesses, and police to convict Tory Lanez for shooting Megan Thee Stallion real? No, that's not true: While it was posted by DJ Vlad's X account, it concluded with a sentence calling the claims "these lies." DJ Vlad, a hip hop producer turned journalist, posted replies on this and another post suggesting his "confession" was satirical trolling mocking conspiracy theories about the case.

The claim appeared in a post (archived here) published by the @DJVlad X account on February 14, 2026. It read:

I have a confession.

Roc Nation has been paying me to support Megan.

They also paid off all the jury members to convict Tory.

And they bribed the judge, too. Jay-Z did a verse for his grandson's new album.

They paid off Megan's doctor to lie about the bullet fragments. She was never shot.

The LA police are all on Jay's payroll. And it doesn't stop with LA, but you're not ready to hear that part.

The Mexican guy who stabbed Tory - who do you think paid him to do that? You already know the answer to that.

The 3 supreme court judges who denied Tory's appeal - all paid off by the Roc Mafia.

Jay also paid Trump NOT to pardon Tory. Even though it's a state case, Trump can only pardon federal cases. But knowing Trump likes to bend the rules, Jay wasn't taking any chances.

I can't keep these lies secret anymore. If this is my last tweet, you know who silenced me.

This is what the post looked like at the time of writing:

The post is a reference to a shooting that wounded rapper Megan Thee Stallion, whose real name is Megan Pete, in a SUV in July 2020. Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, was convicted (archived here) on three felony counts and sentenced to 10 years in prison at the end of a trial two years later.

DJ Vlad, whose real name is Vladislav Lyubovny, included no sources or evidence that supported the allegations that Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, or his entertainment company Roc Nation, had bribed jurors, judges, police, or witnesses to gain a conviction against Lanez. The individual claims of bribery in the post are nonsensical, such as the claim that Jay-Z "paid Trump NOT to pardon Tory." The post itself points out that it is "a state case, Trump can only pardon federal cases."

His post did end with a major clue that the "confession" was a "lie." The last sentence read:

I can't keep these lies secret anymore. If this is my last tweet, you know who silenced me.

The sudden "confession" was posted two hours after DJ Vlad published another post (archived here) making it clear he believed Lanez was guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion:

I'm seeing news reports that Kelsey's bodyguard came forward and said that Kelsey shot Megan, not Tory Lanez. The only problem is that Kelsey's bodyguard wasn't actually bodyguarding her the night of the shooting. His testimony is based on a conversation he claimed he heard. 98% of appeals fall through. This isn't going to overturn Tory's conviction. If this were actually true, Tory should have taken the stand and said it. Also, the story doesn't match up with the jail call of Tory apologizing to Kelsey. You're an idiot if you think that someone sitting in jail is going to apologize to the person who put them there. And why would the shooter even do a jail call with the person who is being charged with their crime?

His replies to comments on the earlier post also indicate DJ Vlad agreed with the jury's verdict, contradicting the claim that jurors were bribed.

DJ Vlad and his management did not immediately respond to Lead Stories' inquiries through emails and direct messages about the post.

We will update this fact check article with any replies.
