Does a real video show Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni ignoring and walking away from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the United Nations? No, that's not true: There is no evidence that the incident portrayed in the clip ever took place. An AI detection tool also found that "the video is likely AI-generated" after assessing the content.
The claim appeared in a post and video (archived here) by the @MrImranPk account on X on April 29, 2026. It read:
Brave Lady.
This is what a screenshot of the video in the post looked like on X at the time of writing:

AI detection
The Hive Moderation AI-Generated Content Detection tool concluded the video was 92.7% 'likely to be AI-generated':

Lead Stories searched Google News (archived here) and Yahoo! News (archived here) and did not find any matching reports for the words: "Giorgia Meloni, Netanyahu, United Nations." Had such an incident actually occurred, major news outlets would have widely reported it.
Additional AI indicator
The fake clip contains another indicator of AI generation. A screenshot from the video (left, below), posted on X, shows a version of the United Nations General Assembly that does not exist in real life. Circled in yellow is the UN seal. In the actual General Assembly Hall (right, below), the seal does not appear on that wall. The yellow arrow indicates where Giorgia Meloni would be looking if the video were real, and the highlighted area shows the section of the wall she would be facing:
