Donald Trump warned NRA members Friday that Hillary Clinton wants "to abolish" the 2nd amendment to the U.S. constitution, which gives Americans the right to "bear arms." It is an accusation Clinton quickly denied in a tweet:
You're wrong, @realDonaldTrump. We can uphold Second Amendment rights while preventing senseless gun violence. pic.twitter.com/G7g1AdZWCA

When Trump addressed the National RIfle Association's Leadership Forum Friday afternoon in Kentucky members who were packing guns had to leave them in their hotel rooms or cars. The NRA website says "lawfully carried firearms will be permitted" at the forum events, "Firearms and knives will be prohibited in any areas temporarily under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Secret Service. When carrying your firearm, please remember to follow all federal, state and local laws."
Before Trump began speaking, the NRA announced the gun rights group was endorsing his presidential candidacy.
