Donald Trump's 'Great Day' in DC: 'Things Working Out Really Well!' After Paul Ryan Meeting

  • by: Alan Duke

Donald Trump's visit to Capitol Hill for face-to-face meetings with House Speaker Paul Ryan and GOP leaders of the Senate made for a "great day," the presumptive Republican presidential nominee tweeted Thursday afternoon.

"Things working out really well!" Trump tweeted as he left Washington.

Speaker Ryan was a little more conservative in his assessment, telling reporters that "seeds" have been planted for a better relationship between the establishment GOP in D.C. and the New York billionaire.

Conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer, who Trump has repeatedly attacked on the campaign trail, told Fox News that any relationship between Trump and Ryan is a "sham marriage."
