Did the World Economic Forum (WEF) ban "natural conception," saying "all babies must be lab-grown by 2030"? No, that's not true: The WEF is an international organization that focuses on public-private cooperation and global economic issues. It does not have the authority to enforce bans on natural conception or dictate the methods of baby production.
The claim appeared in a post on Twitter (archived here) published on June 9, 2023, under the title "WEF Bans Natural Conception: All Babies Must Be Lab-Grown by 2030." The description of the post says:
WEF Bans Natural Conception: All Babies Must Be Lab-Grown by 2030 - The People's Voice. So Klaus [Schwab] and chums want zee master race ya? Similarities abound to another who wanted the same. The real facists are showing their hand. #WEF #Eugenics

Jim Ferguson
Jim Ferguson, who identifies himself in his Twitter profile as a former U.K. parliamentary candidate, a businessman and an entrepreneur, regularly shares articles from The People's Voice. In this case, he links to a June 8, 2023, article (archived here) titled "WEF Bans Natural Conception: All Babies Must Be Lab-Grown by 2030." It opens with these words:
The tyranny is spreading. The global elites at the World Economic Forum are now making moves to control the genetic material of every child who is born into the world in future generations.
According to the WEF, humanity will be better equipped to deal with the challenges of the future if unborn children undergo gene editing to ensure they are free of diseases and disabilities, including psychological traits which the elite disapprove of.
Neither the social media post nor the article supports the claims made in them. There is no evidence to suggest that the WEF is trying to control the genetic material of every child born going forward. The WEF is an international organization that focuses on public-private cooperation and engages in discussions about global economic, social and technological issues. While it does explore various topics, including technology and health care, there is no indication that the WEF is involved in any secretive or conspiratorial efforts to control genetic material.
About The People's Voice
The People's Voice is among the most prolific online publishers of fake news. It has published numerous fake news articles, so anything it publishes should be taken with a large grain of salt. Its Facebook page, "The People's Voice," lost its verification checkmark, according to a 2018 report from Media Matters For America.
Klaus Schwab
The tweet by Ferguson mentions WEF founder and executive chairman Klaus Schwab and also includes his image. In conspiracy circles, he's considered the architect behind the purported plot for a unified world government and has been the focal point for dozens of claims debunked by Lead Stories. Schwab hosts the WEF annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, where leaders of business, philanthropy and politics gather.
