Fact Check: Elon Musk DID Post On X That Steve Bannon 'Is In The Epstein Files' Elon Posted It

Did Elon Musk post on X that Steve Bannon is named in the Jeffrey Epstein files? Yes, that's true: Musk posted the claim as a comment when he reposted an X post by Roger Stone, which also included a 2024 article about Bannon's relationship with Epstein. Musk and Bannon have been feuding on social media in recent weeks following Musk's fallout with President Trump. Musk previously posted a similar claim about Trump, but quickly deleted it.

The top of Musk's post (archived here) published on X on July 8, 2025, was the post from @RogerJStoneJr. that read:

Why would Bannon meet with Jeffrey Epstein both at his New York home and in Paris after Epstein was convicted on sex crimes in Florida? Why would he coach Epstein for his 60 minutes appearance?

Stone's post linked to a Business Insider article (archived here) from July 17, 2024, headlined "Steve Bannon filmed Jeffrey Epstein for 15 hours. His 'documentary' has never surfaced."

Musk's post under that link read:

Bannon is in the Epstein files
