Fact Check: Trump Did NOT Accuse Ukraine Of Midterm Election Interference After Russian Bot Farm Strikes -- It Is A Satire Website Parody News

Did President Donald Trump accuse Ukraine of midterm election interference after Russian bot farm strikes? No, that's not true: The story originated on The Betoota Advocate, an Australian satirical news website. There is no evidence that Trump ever made such an accusation or issued a statement matching the claim, and no media coverage supports it.

The claim appeared in an article (archived here) by The Betoota Advocate on Oct. 14, 2026, with the headline "Trump Accuses Ukraine Of Midterm Election Interference After Russian Bot Farm Strikes." The story's opening paragraphs read:

US President Donald Trump has accused the Ukrainian Government of meddling in the next months [sic] midterm elections.

Speaking to the press aboard Air Force One today, Trump accused Ukraine of election interference by bombing bot farms in Russia earlier this week, leading to a sharp decrease social media activity worldwide.

This is what a screenshot of the article looked like at the time of writing:

The Betoota Advocate (archived here) is an Australian satirical news website launched online in 2014.
