Fact Check: Jared Kushner Did NOT Delete Tweets After Story Broke Exposing Trump's Lack of Tax Payments Not A Tweeter

Did Jared Kushner, son-in-law and senior advisor to the President, delete all his tweets after an explosive New York Times story was published on Trump's purported extremely low or nonexistant tax payments? No, that's not true: Kushner did not delete all his tweets after the story broke, because he did not have any tweets to delete. Internet archives show that Kushner's official Twitter account has remained without any posts over the past couple years.

The claim appeared in a Facebook meme (archived here) where it was published on September 27, 2020. It read:

Shoutout to Jared Kushner who deleted all of his tweets after the tax story broke. Genius. No way anyone has copies of that s**t.

This is what the post looked like on Facebook at the time of writing:

On September 27, 2020, The New York Times published a nearly 10,000-word report on Trump's tax records. Soon after, false claims started circulating on social media that Kushner deleted tweets as a result of the New York Times story.

Previous snapshots of Kushner's official twitter account show that on January 6, 2018, December 29, 2018, January 1, 2019, and February 6, 2020, the account had zero tweets. His twitter account having no tweets on it is not new or a result of the New York Times story.
