During my years in the public school system, I had many teachers that I loved and respected dearly. Teaching is such a selfless job, so it's always beautiful to see a teacher get the respect that he/she deserves.
Students at Burleson High School in Texas managed to surprise their English teacher Kyle Simpler, 56, by greeting his entry into the classroom with a rendition of 'Happy Birthday!' - something he hadn't experienced in a decade, he later said.
'Oh my God!' the English teacher says as he is welcomed into the classroom with shouts of 'Happy Birthday!' The students begin to sing 'Happy Birthday' to him as a student comes forward to present the teacher with a brightly wrapped gift.
Some scream and clap before Simpler, his voice choked with emotion, simply says, 'Thank you.'

The tweets have since gone viral for all the right reasons. Just goes to show the difference a good teacher can make, that teenage pupils would go to that effort for him.
